Core Values

Each of you picks up to 5 values independently — no discussing yet. Go with your first instinct. Then share, compare, and find your 3 shared anchors together.

Priority Pyramid

Your decision-making tool. When you're not sure whether something belongs in your wedding, you look at the pyramid. Non-negotiables are sacred. Flexible means you genuinely don't mind.

Exercise Four
Cost Influencer Table

Every wedding has five major cost drivers. Rate how much each one matters to you — and add any notes. We're not setting a budget today, just making the connections visible.

Exercise Five
Your Vision Statement

Using everything from today — your Core Values, three lenses, Priority Pyramid — write 2–3 sentences that capture what your wedding is for. Use the scaffold below, or write it completely in your own words.

"We want our wedding to feel [Core Value words], so that our guests leave feeling [Guest lens words].
It will honor [your cultural & values anchors]
and reflect our belief that [Legacy lens phrase]."

Before Meeting 2 — your homework

Each partner writes their own version of this Vision Statement before the next session. Don't compare notes beforehand. Bring both versions to Meeting 2 — the differences between them will open the budget conversation in exactly the right way.

Partner A — my version
Partner B — my version
